Central Coast College Selects New Superintendent/President

A Central Coast university is getting a new leader.

Dr. Jill Stearns will be the new Superintendent/President of Cuesta College. Stearns is currently president of Modesto Junior College, a post she’s held for more than five years.

Before that, she held a number of posts at West Hills College. Her contract is expected to be formally approved by trustees at their April meeting.

She will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of longtime Cuesta Superintendent/President Dr. Gil Stork in June. He is the college’s longest serving employee, being a part of its staff for more than a half century.
