The largest city on the Central Coast has announced its new City Manager will come from within its ranks.
The City of Santa Maria is promoting current Assistant City Manager Jason Stillwell to City Manager. Stillwell has worked in city and county government for 25 years, and has been Assistant City Manager for the last two years.
He’ll succeed Rick Haydon, who is retiring in December. Haydon had been with the city for more than 20 years, including the last six as City Manager.
