Bus Loaded With Students Hit By BB Or Pellet Fire On Central Coast

A school bus carrying dozens of students in Santa Barbara County was apparently the target of an attack by someone with a BB or pellet gun.

The bus was carrying between 20 to 30 Cabrillo High School students home Thursday afternoon when the attack occurred. The vehicle was on Rucker Road northeast of Lompoc in Mission Hills when it was hit multiple times. A window was shattered, but no one was hurt.

The bus continued on to a safe area before stopping. Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the incident.
