The top golfer on the PGA seniors tour once again showed over the weekend why he is number one, winning a major tournament in Thousand Oaks which was one of the last events of the season.
Bernard Langer won the Powershares QQQ Championship at the Sherwood Country Club, but it wasn’t easy. Langer made a 25 foot birdie putt in the second playoff hole to defeat Miguel Angel Jimenez to win the tourney.
It’s Langer’s seventh win of the season, and he will be the number one seed going into the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Arizona.
Thousands of golf fans were on hand over the weekend to watch the tournament, which was nationally televised from Thousand Oaks on The Golf Channel.
