Hundreds of trucks are hauling mud from Montecito’s mudflow disaster to Goleta Beach. While the work is being completed, the beach waters are closed.
A posted sign at the beach is causing confusion among people who think everything there is closed.
It’s not – the popular beach park is open for those going to the barbeque pits, the lawn area, the playground, and the beachside restaurant that’s open for lunch and dinner.
The park has a new bridge to get in and out, and the pier also remains open for the public.
