Amtrak Train Delayed In Santa Barbara Barbara Due To Bomb Threat

A Washington State man was arrested after a bizarre incident in which Santa Barbara Police say he claimed he had a bomb on a passenger train. Police received a phone call Friday afternoon from Amtrak about a man on the northbound train making threats. Investigators say Terrence Urich threw a backpack of the train as it approached Santa Barbara. The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s bomb squad was called to the scene, and determined that there were no explosives inside. The incident delayed the train for hours.
