More Santa Barbara County residents can return home now that additional evacuation orders have been lifted following the deadly flooding.
Mandatory evacuation orders were lifted at noon Saturday for the following area in Montecito:
- North of East Valley Road/Hwy 192
- East of San Ysidro Road/East Mountain Drive/West Park Lane
- West of Romero Canyon Road
- South of the Forest Boundary
The evacuation order was also lifted for the Bonnymede Drive area in Montecito:
- South of US 101
- East of Olive Mill Road/Channel Drive
- West of Ocean Meadow Place
- North of the ocean
Long-term Exclusion Zones for Cold Springs/Montecito and San Ysidro remain in effect and are only open to residents, business owners and those conducting official business.
Meantime, search crews continue to look for two people who remain missing after the January 9th flooding. Twenty-one people were killed by the flooding and mudslides.
