One's a Democrat, and one's a Republican, but two assembly members representing Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties say they've teamed up to try to better serve the region's voters. KCLU's Lance Orozco reports Republican Assemblyman Jeff Gorrell of Camarillo, and Democratic Assemblyman Das Williams of Santa Barbara kicked off their collaboration with a trio of proposed new public safety laws.
