Offshore oil drilling has been a big concern in Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties for years, in the wake of the disasterous 1969 Santa Barbara Channel oil spill. It's receiving new national interest as a result of this year's major Gulf Coast oil platform accident, and spill. KCLU's Lance Orozco was on hand for a federal hearing in Santa Barbara
looking at offshore oil drilling safety.
